SocialMedia.org Health is officially five years old! That milestone is a huge testament to the valuable conversations our members are having every day.
And it all started five years ago today at SocialMedia.org Health’s Founders Meeting hosted by our incredible members at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Thank you to Board Chair Jessica Turner, former Board Chair Cynthia Manley, and their entire team for being an integral part of the meeting that started it all!
Over the last five years, this community has welcomed 280 social media leaders from 77 major hospitals across the country. We’ve had:
- 896 confidential, real-time discussions where members asked the big questions, shared challenges they were facing, and gave advice to their peers.
- 205 Community Calls that tackled relevant, timely topics through quick, dynamic conversations where every member contributed.
- 11 in-person Board Meetings — seven of which were hosted by our members at Boston Children’s Hospital, Mercy, Oregon Health & Science University, Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Johns Hopkins Medicine, UC Davis Health, and Mayo Clinic.
But it’s not just about the numbers. It’s about the relationships, friendships, and the new network of peers that our members have been able to develop in this community. Not to mention, SocialMedia.org Health members have gone above and beyond to help each other throughout this pandemic.
