We create communities for people who have hard jobs at big companies.

Each community is for the leaders of one specific function.

We bring together people like you, with jobs like yours, at companies like yours — and problems like yours. It’s the most important thing we do.

Every company and every individual must meet our strict screening criteria.

No vendors allowed.

Absolutely no vendors are ever allowed to participate in this organization. No exceptions.

Really. We’re not kidding. We don’t even allow sponsors at our events.

This means members never have to question the motives behind the advice they’re getting, never have to filter what they say for fear of a vendor listening in, and nobody ever tries to sell them anything.

Companies pay membership dues, and two to three senior leaders participate.

Members are senior decision makers, along with their inner circle. You’ll be talking with people who actually run their program, with experience and knowledge to share. Never find yourself with a recent hire, trainee, or junior staff.

Other than event registration fees, we’re all inclusive.

Our staff facilitates confidential conversations between members.

This is a professionally managed community run by full-time, dedicated facilitators.

(Not volunteers or moonlighting editors, event planners, or consultants.)

We do it by phone, email, and at meetings.

Members help each other through four types of conversations:

  • Fast Feedback: Post a question, get an answer by email.
  • Community Calls: Facilitated phone discussions on deep issues.
  • Board Meetings: Face-to-face connections and confidential conversations.
  • Direct Discussions: We introduce you to a member who can help.

Membership is efficient and easy. It’s designed for busy leaders.

Get the full value of membership in as little as 15 minutes a week. Get answers quickly — much faster than your other resources. All you have to do is ask the question, and we set up the conversations.

Our professional staff takes care of everything so you can focus on getting the answers you need.

Members talk about how to solve the hard problems and do the job better.

We talk about the things that keep you up at night — the things you can’t ask anywhere else: internal management issues, vendors, unprecedented topics, crisis response, and leadership strategies.

(We don’t talk about the topics you can get elsewhere — the tactical or basic “how-to” concepts.)

Benefits that help you be a better leader.

  • Actionable advice, on demand, from people who actually have the answers.
  • The leadership support you need to run a great program.
  • Reduce risk. Whatever you’re planning, someone in the community knows the pitfalls.
  • A supportive community that helps you win.

This is all we do.

We don’t do research, conferences, training, consulting, or advocacy.

Delivering amazing member experiences is our one and only job.

This is one of the most beloved organizations for leaders at big companies.

We’ve had an 80%+ renewal rate for 12 straight years.

This is not like other business groups. It’s a community of friends who will support you. It feels like a family.

We’ve got a Board for you.

Members love this community.

Jaci Twidwell, Hallmark: “Like-minded people who are all battling the same thing”

Dagmar Ebaugh, UL LLC: How SocialMedia.org’s confidentiality creates an environment for sharing

It is the only dedicated social media association we actively participate in because it's the only one we need. Todd Blecher, Boeing

I love how this community shares and collaborates. Julie Finlay, USAA

SocialMedia.org is really our insurance policy for social media. Even if we missed something the night before, we know in the morning we're going to have some sort of alert from SocialMedia.org so we are always armed with the latest information. Jaci Twidwell, Hallmark

What an amazing experience -- I'm so thankful to be a part of this. The staff at SocialMedia.org continue to impress me with their hard work to make sure that these meetings are top notch. Justine Routhier, Santander Bank

A great opportunity to learn from people with the same job as you. Lauren Weingarten, Subaru

SocialMedia.org helps me grow professional. I get the chance to connect with my counterparts in a number of industries, as well as competing firms. And because of our confidentiality agreement, we share stories and insights that help us connect in ways we might not otherwise. Allen Plummer, Vanguard

Typically, you have to do the work to get the value from your various associations. These guys work hard to deliver the value to you. It's a good bunch of folks. Ed Nicholson, Tyson Foods

This truly is a special group, and we are very proud to be a part of it. Robin Thomas, Brinker International

This is a community that understands the ins and outs of social media management at a brand and is so willing to share what they know. I always come away inspired and energized. Marcus Dennis, Roche
