- We aim for a diversity of brands, industries, and topics so attendees can take home a wide range of ideas.
- We balance bringing back “greatest hits” presentations with never-before-seen content from new faces.
- Even if we can’t work you in to this event, we’ll keep your ideas in mind for future Member Meetings and Brands-Only Summits.
How to give a fantastic case study:
These case studies are where your been-there and done-that experience becomes practical, actionable insights — something your audience can walk away from and say, “Wow, did you hear about how ____ did ____? Let me tell you about it!” Here’s how to do it:
- Choose a single project and walk us through exactly how you did it.
- Pick a clear title. Start your title with the brand being discussed and include the project you’ll be explaining. For example: Floobie: How We Used Twitter to Spread the Floob.
- Focus on the key things that will help others do what you did. Share details of the specific problem you were trying to solve, how you got buy-in for your project, what you did, and how you measured the results.
- Get specific. Show us screenshots, examples, metrics, and results.
- End with a great conclusion. Close with a summary of takeaways, what you learned, and what you would do differently next time.
How to teach a fantastic class:
This is where been-there, done-that experience becomes a practical, actionable guide. To give a great class, pretend you’ve just hired someone and your job is to teach them how to do this. Walk them through exactly how to do it, step-by-step. The big ideas:
- This is not a case study. This is not about you, your company, or your industry.
- Pick a clear title. Check out the agenda for examples (“How to structure your social media team”, “How to run a social media listening program”, etc.). You can use a title on the current agenda or suggest a new one.
- In a class presentation, you’re a teacher. You’ll show them exactly how to do it.
- The best format is a 5-step list (or 6, or 7, etc.). Explain each step, walk the audience through how to do it, and include real-world examples (these don’t have to be from your company).
