This week, we continued our second series of Unofficial Unconferences — private, peer-to-peer discussions in relaxed, 3-4 hour sessions hosted in SocialMedia.org members' offices — in Chicago.
Avnet's Global Head of Community and Social Media, Dianne Kibbey, and TransUnion's Senior Manager of PR, Content, and Social Media, Bob Skwarek, and Social Media Manager, Kristen O'Neill, hosted our second meeting of 2019 (after our first in Louisville) — bringing together Chicagoland social media leaders from Abbvie, Ace Hardware, Allstate, Anthem, Astellas, Boeing, Cars.com, Chamberlain Group, Conagra, Dart Container, Express Scripts, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, and Zurich North America.
They kicked off the meeting with a Member-Led Discussion on 2019 social media challenges and opportunities before jumping into three unconference rounds — where attendees could talk about the topics that mattered most to them that day. They finished off the session with a second Member-Led Discussion on rockstar metrics and social media hacks.
A huge thank you to Dianne, Bob, and Kristen for all the hard work they put into making this amazing meeting possible.
Everyone involved put together an incredible day of brands-only conversations — and it was a huge success!
